Bubblegum Crash, Episode 1: Illegal Army Movie Review 1991

Power-suited bank robbers elude the A.D. Police. This gang is much better trained and equipped than the cops. It seems like a job for the Knight Sabers except that their leader Sylia is out of town, Knight Saber Priss finally has a record deal and Knight Saber Linna is racking in the dough at the stock market. Only Knight Saber Nene, who works at A.D. Police headquarters, seems interested in going back into action. She does everything she can to help detectives Leon and Daley with the case and discovers that the bank robbers are actually a group of mercenaries. The story that started with the "Bubblegum Crisis" series returns. Like many sequels, it's a little less serious with more emphasis on action and the characters are presented with a little more humor than in the original. But it's still interesting and there is new mecha to ogle.
