Girl from Hunan Movie Review 1986

Turn-of-the-century China, a 12-year-old girl is married to a two-year-old boy in a typical arranged marriage. She grows into womanhood treating her toddler husband with sibling affection, but conducts a secret love affair with a farmer. Intolerant village laws against adultry place her life in jeopardy.
