A compelling look at the life and death of Jo Roman, a noted psychotherapist and author of "Exit House: Choosing Suicide as an Alternative," a book which argues the concept of "rational suicide" versus the concept of "pathological suicide." When Ms. Roman was diagnosed with severe breast cancer in 1978, she decided to put her theories into practice and arranged her own suicide. Originally aired on PBS in 1980.
