Vol. 1: Scotish citizens talk about military growth in their neighborhood, and a survivor of Hiroshima recalls the aftermath. Vol. 2: Individuals respond to photos of Hiroshima, and an evacuation is conducted in Norway. Vol. 3: Survivors recall the bombing of Hamburg, and a woman recalls the Leningrad evacuation. Vol. 4: In Mazambique women of a farming co-op relate the effects of war on food production, and the money paid by the U.S. government to institutes of higher learning to design and produce nuclear weapons is explored. Vol. 5: New York State is evacuated and Australians discuss media coverage of the nukes in their country. Vol. 6: Japanese treatment of Koreans and the personal cost of an MX missile to a family is examined. Vol. 7: Australians discuss experiences in a bomb shelter, and the hundreds of people involved in the film's production get their moment in the sun.
