Siberian Lady Macbeth Movie Review 1961

A Polish version of Shakespeare's Macbeth which ranks with the greatest film translations of his work. In Czarist Russia the passionate wife of a plantation owner begins an affair with a farm hand, and poisons her father-in-law when he finds them out. As her madness grows, she plots the murder of the husband and other suspicious family members. In Serbian with English subtitles.
