The politics of and the U.S. government's status towards the nations of Central America and the Caribbean basin as of Fall, 1987 are addressed by a number of respected authorities. Speakers are Alfonso Robelo, representative of the Directorate of the Nicaraguan Resistance; Elliot Abrams, Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs, State Department; John Gavin, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico and Ambassador William Middendorf, U.S. Permanent Representative to the O.A.S. and former Secretary of the Navy.
