A collection of railroad reels from the 1940s. Includes the heyday of the stainless steel passenger train when steam locomotives were "streamlined," circa 1947. A 1946 safety film "Dont Let It Happen to You," deals with yard and track safety. Railroad crossing safety is discussed in "Stop Look and Listen" from 1946. Another 1945 safety film for railroad workers entitled "It Doesn't Have to Happen," has excellent footage from the yards and the roundhouse. Some black and white scenes.
