A collection of nostalgic railroad films produced between 1945 and 1952. Included is a 1945 Great Northern film "Why Risk Your Life" with steam locomotives and early diesels as they preach safety around trains and railroad tracks. A 1952 Pennsylvania Railroad film "Progress on the Rails" follows the progress of railroading from the 1850s to 1952. Also included are two bonus films; "Railroad Yards" and "Steam Engines," which were produced by the Penn Central Railroad.
