Third in the "Trilogy of Tribute," by Arnold Shapiro. This film focuses in-depth on nine prisoners of war from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. It brings home the painful reality of capture, internment, and release, and does not shy away from brutalities such as torture or brainwashing. It also covers the anguish of the ones at home, waiting for their loved ones to return. A sensitive and comprehensive film that includes rare footage of the prisoners before, some during, and after detainment. It is particularly aimed at younger generations as a historical reminder of who we are as a nation and what we have suffered to preserve our freedom.
