California Straight Ahead Movie Review 1925

Denny--whose niche in the '20s was silent action comedies, and who had teamed with director Pollard earlier in the decade to produce "The Leatherpushers" series--stars in this silent actioner which features a cross-country road trip, zoo animals-on-a-rampage, and a car-racing conclusion (sounds like an action formula ahead of its time). Audiences didn't realize until the talkies that the All-American manly man was in fact played by a Brit. For those who revel in trivia, Denny appeared in the 1961 "Batman."
