Coup de Grace Movie Review 1978

Engaging political satire about a wealthy aristocratic woman in Latvia during the 1919-20 Civil War, and how she attempts to maintain her lifestyle as German soldiers are housed on her estate. Her unrequited love for a German officer adds to her troubles. In German with English subtitles. Co-written by von Trotta and based on the novel by Marguerite Yourcenar.
