A three-volume series which examines experimental weaponry from WWII. "The Battle of the Beams" looks at the use of radio-guidance for bombing raids against England, and "To See for a Hundred Miles" examines the Allies' speedy development of radar. In Volume 2, "Terror Weapons" focuses on the invention of the V-1 & V-2 rockets; "If..." looks at some of the weapons that never made it off the drawing board. In Volume 3, "The Deadly Waves" discusses the magnetic mine, and "Still Secret" documents the Allied deciphering of the secret German code known as Enigma.
