Chico Mendes: Voice of the Amazon Movie Review 1989

Chico Mendes was one of the first individuals to organize a movement opposing the Brazilian government's role in the destruction of the Amazon rain forest. His December 1988 assassination sparked a vocal, effective opposition which has been able to make its cause known. This video documents Mendes' efforts and includes his final filmed interview.
