Three carefree bachelors, Jacques (Dussollier), Pierre (Giraud), and Michel (Boujenah), find a baby girl in a basket outside the door of the home they share. One is the father--although none of the men are sure which one it is. After the initial shock of learning how to take care of a child, they fall in love with her and won't let her go. There's a strange subplot about Jacques hiding heroin in the baby's diapers that gets them all involved with drug dealers. Still, everything is played for laughs and the film has heaps of charm. French with subtitles. Remade in 1987 as "Three Men and a Baby."
