Famed Reinhardt version of the Shakespeare classic, featuring nearly every star on the Warner Bros. lot. The plot revolves around the amorous battle between the king (Jory) and queen (Louise) of a fairy kingdom, and the humans who are drawn into their sport. Features de Havilland's first film role (as Hermia), althogh Rooney, as the fairy Puck, seems to be having the most fun. Classic credit line: Dialogue by William Shakespeare.
