4.0 from 0 reviews

The infamous Marquis de Sade, confined to an asylum, directs the other inmates in a surrealistic re-enactment of the bloody assassination of French revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat. Well directed and visually effective, featuring Jackson's first film performance. Based on a play by Peter Weiss. Due to the long alternative titles, some theatres were forced to add extensions to the marquee when the film was first released.
