Shame Movie Review 1987

Strange Australian revenge drama about a female lawyer/biker who rides into a small town and finds herself avenging the rape of a 16-year-old girl. Is it a genuinely feminist movie about justice and a strong woman taking charge? Or is it exploitative trash using a politically correct theme and "message" as a peg for much--very much--gratuitous violence? Hard to tell. Cultish for sure; made on a B budget.
