Picnic at Hanging Rock Movie Review 1975

School outing in 1900 into a mountainous region ends tragically when three girls disappear. Eerie film is strong on atmosphere, as befits mood master Weir. Lambert is extremely photogenic--and suitable subdued--as one of the girls to disappear. Otherwise beautifully photographed on location. From the novel by Joan Lindsey.
