New York reporter Sue Charlton (Kozlowski) is assigned to the Outback to interview living legend Mike Dundee (Hogan). When she finally locates the man, she is so taken with him that she brings him back to New York with her. There, the naive Aussie wanders about, amazed at the wonders of the city and unwittingly charming everyone he comes in contact with, from high-society transvestites to street hookers. One of the surprise hits of 1986.
