Career Navy man Tom Farrel (Costner) is involved with a beautiful, sexy party girl, Susan (Young), who gets killed. Turns out she was also the mistress of Secretary of Defense Brice (Hackman), Tom's boss. Assigned to investigate her suspicious death, Tom suddenly finds himself set up as the chief suspect. A tight thriller based on 1948's "The Big Clock," with a new surprise ending. Costner looks fine in his Navy whites and there's a backseat limousine sex scene that's quite steamy.
