Land for Rose Movie Review 1987

A document of the turbulence involved in Brazil's transition from dictatorship to democracy. The focus here is on a large group of peasants who've established a commune on an abandoned farm. One of those peasants is Rose, who was the first to give birth in the new and struggling community. Other interviews are conducted with government officials, religious leaders and activists. In Portuguese with English subtitles.
