Avant-Garde Program #12 Movie Review 1962

Three famous experimental shorts: Dulac's "The Seashell and the Clergyman" (1927), a surrealist piece written by Artaud; Marker's "La Jetee" (1962), a fascinating sci-fi time travel story told completely with still images (in French with subtitles); and Vorkapich's and Florey's "Life and Death of 9413, A Hollywood Extra" (1928), a sardonic look at a would-be star abused by the system.
