This documentary examines the Bryn Mawr Summer School for Women Workers. In operation from 1921 to 1938, the school brought together 1700 blue collar women of different economic backgrounds and races, to study the humanities and political science. In the end, its funders, including the Rockefellers, DuPonts, and Carnegies, found the school too radical.
