Quality of Mercy Movie Review 1988

The quality of pain control is examined in this film, particularly in the areas of cancer, burn, and pediatric pain after surgery. Often, doctors and nurses are slow to respond to patient suffering and fear the addictive qualities of narcotic pain relievers. As the film points out, many patients do not become addicted to the medication.
