The ability to maintain cultural integrity in the face of encroaching civilization is the focus of this film. The Motilon Indians of Venezuela have become spiritually and economically impoverished and are now dependent on foreign missionaries for their survival. The Arhuaco Indians of Columbia have retained their traditional values and are flourishing.
