Dax Cowart, a handsome man in his 20s, was badly burned when a propane gas tank exploded. During his long and often excruciatingly painful recovery, he wished to have life support terminated. Filmed over a 10-year period, examines the rights of severely injured persons to determine their own future, versus society's compulsion to keep these patients alive. Dax survived and is now married and owner of his own business.
