Russian take on the battle between the forces of good and evil, set in present-day Moscow. A prologue establishes that a diplomatic truce exists between the two: the Night Watch keeps a check on the dark side and the Day Watch on the light. But after centuries, a prophecy about the Great Other, who will tip the balance, seems about to come true. Somewhat chaotic and convoluted but still intense. The first in a trilogy based on the novels of co-writer Lukyanenko. Russian with subtitles.
