Honey Daniels (Alba) shakes her tail feathers as a hip-hop dancer with a heart of gold. Honey is plucked out of clubland obscurity by slimy music director Michael Ellis (Moscow) and her career as a video choreographer skyrockets. Alba shines as Honey shows a lot of bare midriffs, romances the local good-guy barber (Phifer), and tries to prevent two local kids from falling in with the wrong crowd. Energetic dancing and hip-hop soundtrack couldn't prevent the formulaic cliches from popping up (does every dance movie need to put on a show to save the kids?). Could also be called "Save the Last Electric Boogaloo Flashdance." Cameos by Jadakiss, Ginuwine and Missy Elliott.
