For hard-core Dylan fans only. He may be the only reason to see this one. The abundant, muddled meanderings about fame, life, politics and the like sure aren't. Co-written and starring the enigmatic folk legend, the tenuous threads of a plot have Dylan as a has-been musical legend who's been sprung from jail by rock promoter Uncle Sweetheart (Goodman) and partner Nina Veronica (Lange) for a dubious benefit concert in a post-revolutionary, America-like country. Dylan is then given a chance to croon, and his "Dixie" alone may be enough to satisfy fans. A host of big-names drop in for walk-ons and seeming improv performances.
