Two Nickelodeon animated series combine in this adventure when the Rugrats, who are vacationing with their parents, get stranded on an island and the Wild Thornberries, on the island to find a rare leopard for their TV show, come to the rescue. It must've seemed like a good idea to combine these two lucrative franchises into one movie, but the sum proved to be less than its parts. Less charming than previous outings for both series, there's just too many characters competing for too little screen time, and the wandering plotlines don't help the situation. Less-discriminating kids may enjoy it on video, but there's nothing for adults or older kids to enjoy.
