James Wheeler is out to uncover a city from the Mayan civilization but he faces a rival expedition, an unhappy native tribe, and mysterious disappearances and deaths that point to someone--or something--wanting the city and its treasures to remain undisturbed. Based on the novel "The Vivero Letter" by Desmond Bagley. Filmed on location in Costa Rica.
