Minnie's (Rowlands) about to turn 40 and wants out of her affair with married man, Jim (Cassavetes). She accepts a blind date with Zelmo (Avery) and when he turns out to be a nut, Minnie's rescued by parking attendant Moskowitz (Cassel). Through the opposites attract ploy, Minnie and Moskowitz start dating and soon decide to get married. It's basically a Cassavetes home movie, featuring a number of family and friends who probably had a better time making it than you'll have watching it.
