Robert Marling (Donovan) is an architect with a broken marriage and a compulsion to gamble (and lose) at a sleazy strip joint owned by the odious and brutual Stanner (Schiff). One of the performers is a psychic transvestite named Heaven (Edwards), who predicts that Robert will win big in the lottery. This info gets back to evil shrink Melrose (Malahide), who has both Robert and Heaven as patients, and who just happens to be having an affair with Robert's bitter wife, Jennifer (Going). And the coincidental silliness doesn't stop there. Based on a novel by Chad Taylor.
