Soul Survivor Movie Review 1995

Set in Toronto's Jamaican community, this urban drama focuses on twentysomething Tyrone (Williams) who's stuck in a custodial job and looking to make some easy money. He goes to work making collections for local gangster Winston (Harris), who tries to reassure his protege that money buys respect. But when Tyrone falls for straight-living social worker Annie (Scott), he begins to see the potholes in the path he's on.
