Zombies of the Stratosphere Movie Review

Republic's third Martian-invasion serial showed denizens of the red planet at their very worst. This time three Martians (i.e. “zombies") practice their skullduggery against Earth and one of them is played by a young Leonard Nimoy (the eyebrows look Vulcan but unfortunately we are never permitted to see any ears under his hood). The extraterrestrials hope to plant an H-bomb to blow Earth out of orbit and upgrade their dying world to being third from the sun. Luckily for humanity, opposing them is Judd Holdren (whose rewritten role was originally the Commander Cody character he played in Radar Men from the Moon). Six months after Republic finished this, the USA detonated its own H-bomb for the first time, so perhaps we are not so lucky after all. On video in 12 chapters; also available in a 93 minute, colorized condensation. AKA: Satan's Satellites.
