Tremors 2: Aftershocks Movie Review

The Graboids have resurfaced and are eating their way through Mexican oil fields. Earl Bassett (Fred Ward) is back in demand as the man who can put a stop to the toothy worms’ carnage (good thing, too, because all his profits from even the Graboid video game have been eaten up by dumb decisions). Joined by my-gun-is-bigger-than-your-gun Burt Gummer (Michael Gross), he sets out to once again put an end to the wriggly rampage before the damn things vomit up (a new reproductive twist) too many more wormkids. More tongue-in-cheek humor, even messier special effects, and larger quantities of worm guts than the first film. Almost as much fun. The laserdisc offers a letterboxed version.

1996 (PG-13) 100m/C Fred Ward, Michael Gross, Helen Shaver, Christopher Gartin, Marcelo Tubert; D: S.S. Wilson; W: S.S. Wilson, Brent Maddock. VHS, LV MCA
