Ticks Movie Review
Killer mutant arachnids terrorize a Northern California campground! A bunch of not-terribly bright backwoods marijuana farmers dump some nasty chemicals into the local water supply. This results in a plague of grapefruit-sized parasites who attack first them and then the usual troop of unwary teen campers. And if that's not enough environmental bad karma for you, a forest fire breaks out, trapping the teens. There are some fine squirm-inducing moments in this flick, which was produced by Re-Animator’s Brian Yuzna. Those with weak stomachs, however, might want to stick to similar films from the ‘50s, which don't include graphic shots of monster bugs burrowing under hapless characters’ skins. AKA: Infested.
