They Live Movie Review

A semi-serious science-fiction spoof about a drifter (a surprisingly solid perf from ex-wrestler Roddy Piper) who accidentally discovers an alien conspiracy. They're taking over the country under the guise of Reaganism, capitalism, and yuppiedom. Piper and his homeless pals decide to do something about it. Screenplay written by director John Carpenter under the pseudonym “Frank Armitage.” Lots of demented fun, although it devolves a bit into action flick material towards the end.
