Superman & the Mole Men Movie Review

The cast of the popular ‘50s’ television show made this rarely seen feature as a “pilot” for the series. Superman faces the danger threatened by the invasion of radioactive mole-men who make their way to the surface world from the bowels of the Earth through an oil-well shaft. The Man of Steel is given a bit more serious treatment than in the resulting series, and the midget mole men present a serious problem. Later divided into a two-part episode of the series. AKA: Superman and the Strange People.

1951 58m/C George Reeves, Phyllis Coates, Jeff Corey; D: Lee Sholem; W: Richard (Robert Maxwell) Fielding. VHS, Beta WAR
