Son of Kong Movie Review

Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) returns to Skull Island, only to discover a younger albino member of Kong's species living there in this often humorous sequel to RKO's immensely popular King Kong. Hoping to capitalize on the enormous success of its predecessor, director Ernest Schoedsack quickly threw this together. As a result, its success at the box office did not match the original's, and didn't deserve to, but it's fun. Nifty special effects from Willie O'Brien, the man who brought them to us the first time. Oddly, the understated romance that builds between the ruined Denham and orphaned teenager Mack is one of the sweetest in any fantasy film.
