The Running Man Movie Review

A special effects-laden adaptation of the Stephen King novel (originally published under his Richard Bachman pseudonym) about a futuristic television game show. Convicts are given a chance for pardon – all they have to do is survive an ongoing battle with specially trained assassins in the bombed-out sections of Los Angeles. Schwarzenegger is suitably grim, and couch potatoes will enjoy seeing longtime game show host and ex-Hogan's Hero Richard Dawson in a major role. This is sci fi with an attitude – fast-moving, occasionally nasty, and always enjoyable.
