The Road Warrior Movie Review

Incredible photography, terrific stunts, and full-tilt pace make this futuristic sf western one of the most influential movies of the early ‘80s. It's a rare sequel (to Mad Max) that surpasses the original on sheer intensity. The action takes place after nuclear war has destroyed Australia. Max (Mel Gibson) helps a colony of oil-drilling survivors defend themselves from the roving murderous outback gangs and escape to the coast. Well-drawn characters and a climactic chase scene that's among the most exciting ever filmed. Worth another look any time; worth owning.
