Revenge of the Creature Movie Review
In this follow up to The Creature From the Black Lagoon, the monstrous Gillman is captured in his Amazon habitat and taken to a Florida marine park. There he is put on display for visitors and cheerfully subjected by John Agar to experiments involving an electric prod. Growing restless in his captive surroundings, the creature breaks free and makes for the ocean. His escape is only a cover for his true intentions, however, which involve stalking and kidnapping pretty grad student Lori Nelson. This rather weak sequel, originally shot in 3-D and based on a story by William Alland, includes screen debut of Clint Eastwood as a lab technician. Between exciting moments, we're treated to endless billing and cooing by Agar and Nelson, and time-killing footage of marine park attractions like “Flippy, the Educated Porpoise.” It's available on laserdisc as part of a special “Encore Edition Double Feature” with The Creature Walks Among Us.
