Reptilicus Movie Review

Laughable attempt to get Denmark into the Godzilla business. Nordic miners find the skeleton of a previously unclassified dinosaur with its tail section frozen and intact. The beast's defrosted flesh regenerates into a vast acid-spitting serpent that looks like the dragon of medieval folklore but moves like a puppet from the Kukla, Fran and Ollie show. Oh, and we get some travelogues of Copenhagen and the song “Tivoli Nights.” Reptilicus later justified his limp existence by reappearing in recurrent gag clips on the Monkees’ popular TV show, and recent reports from Denmark hint this pic has become a cult item in the tradition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with revival-house audiences echoing the lame dialogue back at the screen.
