Primal Scream Movie Review

Valiant but utterly disjointed attempt to do a hard-boiled sci-fi detective tale like Blade Runner on a budget that wouldn't buy birdseed for the Maltese Falcon. After a giant research lab on Saturn explodes in 1993 (!), a world-weary gumshoe investigates hideous deaths connected with a revolutionary new energy source (whose chemical formula spells out ‘hellfire') managed by a corrupt corporation. Filmed in Philadelphia and New Jersey, looking just as seedy as ever with rusty spaceships poking out of suburban garages. AKA: Hellfire.
