Plan from Outer Space (9 ) Movie Review
You are interested in the unknown, the mysterious, the unexplainable. That is why you are reading this book. And that is why Plan 9 from Outer Space has over the years become the unanimous choice as “the worst film of all time.” It is one of two films that secured Ed Wood's “reputation.” Everything you've heard about this movie is true: Bela Lugosi died a few days after production on this film began. Wood supplemented the few minutes of footage he had by substituting a stand-in (a chiropractor noticeable taller than Lugosi) to walk through the film with a cape over his face. The sets are pitiful (cardboard gravestones, shower curtain cockpit, Cadillac hubcaps for UFOs) and the stupefying dialogue ludicrous. Tell your friends. By the way, Plan 9 deals with the resurrection of the dead. “Can you prove it didn't happen?” AKA: Grave Robbers from Outer Space. WOOF!
