Not of this Earth Movie Review

Jim Wynorski's remake of Roger Corman's original has virtually everything that a B-movie fan could ask for: total lack of seriousness, a silly plot that zips right along, cheesy special effects, and oodles of gratuitous nudity. Vampire from the planet Davonna is here to send blood to the folks back home. Traci Lords is the nurse who unwittingly helps him by providing transfusions. But before long, she and her policeman beau realize that something untoward is going on down in the basement. Why is there smoke coming from the furnace when the temperature is close to 100 outside? Is someone getting rid of the remains of an unlucky door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman? Corman executive-produced this remake of his 1957 piece.
