Navy Vs. the Night Monsters Movie Review

When Antarctic plant specimens collected by the Navy turn out to be horrible, acid-secreting monsters out to take over the world, blonde bombshell Mamie Van Doren and her pals have to come to the rescue. Most of the action takes place in a South Pole military base that looks remarkably like southern California. Way too much of this flick is taken up with dated, tiresome jokes about the rigors of Navy life. Mamie looks good, but the monsters and acting are nothing special. It was supposedly based on a novel by classic sf writer Murray Leinster. AKA: The Night Crawlers.

1966 87m/C Mamie Van Doren, Anthony Eisley, Pamela Mason, Bobby Van, Russ Bender, Walter Sande; D: Michael Hoey; W: Michael Hoey; C: Stanley Cortez. VHS, Beta NO
