Modern Problems Movie Review

Chevy gets splashed with nuclear waste and develops some rather tasteless telekinetic powers, including the ability to vacuum up cocaine through his nostrils like a Hoover. Ah, the magic that was Hollywood in the early 1980s. Slapstick takeoff on psy-pics like The Fury and Scanners was done with a fine comic cast at low points in their personal lives, and their distraction shows in this unsuccessful fission trip. WOOF!

1981 (PG) 93m/C Chevy Chase, Patti D'Arbanville, Mary Kay Place, Brian Doyle-Murray, Nell Carter, Dabney Coleman; D: Ken Shapiro. VHS, Beta FOX
