Memoirs of an Invisible Man Movie Review

Nick Halloway (Chevy Chase), a slick and shallow stock analyst, is rendered invisible by a freak accident. When he is pursued by a CIA agent/hit man who wants to exploit him, Nick turns for help to Alice (Daryl Hannah), a documentary filmmaker he has just met. Naturally, they fall in love along the way. There are some effective sight gags, but the hardworking cast can't overcome pitfalls in the script, which indecisively meanders between comedy and thrills. Entertaining for a dull Saturday night, but it lacks the focus of director John Carpenter's much better horror films.

1992 (PG-13) 99m/C Chevy Chase, Daryl Hannah, Sam Neill, Michael McKean, Stephen Tobolowsky, Jim Norton, Patricia Heaton, Rosalind Chao; D: John Carpenter; W: Robert Collector. VHS, LV WAR
